In 2011, it came to light that Thomas hadn't disclosed hundreds of thousands of dollars. He amended his filings to reflect that she had earned between $600 and $700,000 over the years from the Heritage Foundation. That's a lot of money from one benefactor. What are judges supposed to be? They're supposed to be honest. And I think it stretches common sense to think that a judge could be independent when he takes that much money from one person.
