The Life of Louis Amperini
When Louis Amperini was 19 years old, he made it to the Olympics in Berlin. He became an incredible runner and by his senior year had set the world record for high school mile. When the U.S. entered World War II, Louis joined the Navy,. Became a bombardier over the South Pacific and went on a number of missions. At one point though, his plane was shot down; most people on the crew immediately died. The three men survived for 33 days on the 33rd day, one of the men died. They floated for 47 days, which is actually a world record for survival aboard a life raftin case you're up for Guinness Book.
