I don't know how to actually technologically do it, but I wouldn't imagine any completely astonishing discoveries coming from it that are not already implicit in our knowledge of cosmology. And I don't think that physical conditions are gonna be that different, 100,000 years or 300,000 years light years away from the surface of last scattering that we actually see today.
