Sontagold's song, "Vane Glory," is about self-love and how much she loves being herself. But the next line gives a vastly different perspective on self-love: It's all an illusion. She was talking about having to sell one's identity for as a commodity when you're a pop star. The chorus of the song kind of walks a tightrope between these two contrasting interpretations.
