generative ai is where you put in like text prompt and it spits out an answer. A lot of these sites are using training data that they've just scraped off the internet. i think right now they're just like a fun novelty but we're starting to get to a place where maybe creators can figure out a way to use these in a way that isn't exploitative, gross or weird.
