The Son of Nothing and Return of the Son of Nothing
Gilmore and Wright share lead vocals on this song. They would spend hours in the studio working late into the night on these little experiments called nothing's that would yield almost nothing usable. Later live versions just don't sound as good as the earlier ones because they both adopted a much Shoutier vocal style by then. By 1974 they'd added background singers and saxophone solos and Those sounded great on Dark Side of the Moon But they were completely out of place and echoes and I think they knew it too.
