Is There a Cut Off Between Nodule and Mass?

The cut off between nodule and mass is 30 millimeters, or three centimeters. Once a lesion is greater than three centimeters, the likelihood that it's malignant is much higher. Calcification can actually indicate benign eteologies if it's diffusely calcified or has popcorn calci. If there's internal fat density within the nodule, that raises suspicion for hammart which is a benign aeology as well.
