The Labour leader says there's a lot we can learn from what Tony Blair and Gordon Brown did, but the world is different. Back then, people weren't talking about the growing assertiveness of Russia. I do think that we need closer trade and less friction in trade between Britain and the European Union. There's a number of areas where I don't think it's working sufficiently. We've got fantastic creative industries in Britain, but at the moment they're tied up in red tape when they want to tour around Europe. Those are some of the areas in which I would want to secure changes in Britain's national interest.
