The Right of Universities to Cultivate Cross-Generational Ties
The Constitution prohibits racial discrimination. It doesn't prohibit censoring who comes into my club based upon whether or not I think that they will further the club's objectives, Lee says. Race and legacy status are not anywhere close to being on the same status in terms of the basis of discrimination. He thinks universities have our right to cultivate within family cross-generational ties and loyalties because they're philanthropies.
