"I was almost finished with the manuscript for Sex at Done and I saw a copy of Napoleon's private, so it was called," he says. "And there was this Australian's face on the cover who had written the book" The pair have kept in touch over the years as Perotet has moved from New York to Washington. He is now an editor-at-the-Smithsonian but still writes historical stories about Latin America.
