The Role of Lactate in Exercise for Tabulism

The role of gluconeogenesis increases with the duration of exercise. In a well fed person they have liver glycogen and make about 20% of their glucose from new carbons like lactate, some amino acids pyruvaceless raw. And as glycogen levels the plate with exercise, or during a fast gluconeogenesis becomes more and more important. It's only during exercise, where you have a lipids being mobilized from other tissues lactate pyruvate coming from skeletal muscle, the gut dumps amino acids into the portal circulation. So it sustains gluconeogenesis.
