We Don't Want Wealth, but We Need It
In the first century jesus context, that she being wealthy was still in a relative minority inte. The majority of that culture would have been living hand to mouth. Now we understand wealth as being that which those people over there have and with it comes anan exclusivity. But where this comes from, isthat in deuteronomy. There are no poor you. That's how you can tell when the people of god have been redeemed or been restored, there is no poor amongst you. I guess that means we should hold, not clutch tightly to what is rightfully ours.
