Sleep, and We Shall Not All Sleep, but We Will All Be Changed

i believe we will be conscious in the interval between bodily death and bodily resurrection. The image of sleep and wake is still quite a good one to use. It's also a mystery as to how that existence, that state, would necessarily interact chronologically with what is continuing to happen, as it were, in creation. i'm very wary of people who say we will then be outside time. I don't think we are told that. What matters is that we are called to trust completely that god will absolutely look after usand delight us with his presence and love both in the immediate after death and in the ultimate future.
