The Importance of Taking Less Risks
I can't find a single positive that could possibly come out of losing my partner, my son's dad. And so, on the one hand, I took less risks because I knew I had to be present for my son. All I've wanted for my son always is to be able to provide him with as many choices as possible. So I probably have overcompensated with wanting to show him that everything's possible and don't ever let that narrative determine your future. But ironically, in the back of my mind, I think it made me want to take more risks at a certain point when I realized nothing can actually be as bad as that.
