Freudian Political Therapy and the Nazism of the 1930s

Reich thought that the Germans attraction to authoritarian politics was rooted in sexual repression and rooted in the family. The idea of Freudian political therapy was really kind of one of the guiding ideas of the occupation government. And then immediately after the war, some of these same ideas get turned on America as there's this strong anxiety that Americans harbor a latent tendency to Nazism.
