The Importance of Community in Conflict Resolution
David Frum: Why did the Israelites go from judges to kings? He says in a well constituted community, enforcement of the law is an intrinsic part of the juridical function. When we have moved into this new form of neo neo-neurotic governance, he says, it's no longer about justice but war. And so conflict can be mitigated by a properly constructed juridical constellation and should play proper role as base of Governance.
