13 climbers from a wilderness programme at oregon episcopal school found themselves caught in a ferocious storm on mount they were unable to descend safely and took refuge in a snow cave. Search and rescue personnel swarmed across the mountain looking for the missing climbers. While the rescue teams risked their lives on the mountain, friends and family of the missing climbers gathered at mount hood's timber lined ski resort hoping against hope that their loved ones would be saved.
