I predicted that there would be a classic last minute race to defuse the bomb. I think it's wrong. A time jump or a mid-book climax that was changing the entire situation did not happen. You however did predict the creation of aluminum via electrolysis. And that hasn't really reached mainstream on schedule as of yet.
