Introduction

William Lane Craig: We have abundant evidence that the Second Coming of Christ was not going to happen soon. Yet we also have some very puzzling sayings of Jesus that seemed to suggest he was predicting his return within the lifetime of his hearers. This problem is known as the delay of the parousia. How shall we best deal with this problem? Well, there are quite a number of different suggestions that have been made. But for me at least, it's not an option. I just don't think that it solves the problem.
