The May Revolution in New Spain

In september 18 ten, the central junta agreed to put out a call to convene a general quartess. This would resemble kind of the early days of the national assembly with representatives drawn from all the variousa sh administrative provinces and all the american provinces into one congressional body. The call to join this quartess would then supersede the call to join thecentral junta. September eighteenth is now chilean independence day, and would mark the beginning of the chilean war of independence. Then way, way up in new spain, the really big revolt finally broke on september sixteenth, 18 ten, that kicked off the mexican war of independence
