Is E M D R a New Test?

E m d r was born a single subjective personal observation, maybe the eye movements itself is making me feel less anxious and depressed. That's like the entire base of it. It did not come out of any basic science, r any norro science, or any thinking about how the brain works. The idea behind it? Again, there really isn't anything very compelling in termsofike,.
