How to Deviate From the Happy Path in Rails
Using multiple databases with rails was one of the ones that I ran into numerous times. Just was not designed for that in the beginning, did not work. There was also some easy security stuff ages and ages ago that you often wanted to do,. So it was clunky. And eventually, you know, the Rails community got better but people are weird. They do weird things. We have a different set of five year old tools available to us.
