The Hermetic Dadeus

Dadeus's solution is magic. His solution as he describes it very poetically and strangely in the passage I read. He describes how what one does isn't, you don't stop dreaming. What you do is you become what he calls an insomniac through the practice of ecstatic activities via ecstatic practices. And this is something that Joshua Raimi explores at length in his book The Hermetic Dadeus. It seems to me that if a nationhood, family, and religion are dreams, then certainly asceticism or the idea that we can escape the dream world is another dream.
