Do I Need to Be Screened for Prostate Cancer?

The first thing I always do is consider the patient's age and whether or not they mean to meet the general screening criteria. And then I consider their 10-year life expectancy, and if they seem like somebody that's likely to be around beyond 10 years. Some of it may be their threshold to live with something going on in their body that they don't know about. There are some risks associated with even just getting a biopsy to find out if you have cancer or not.
