Is There a Jewish Community in Padua?
Tragis writes letters to rabbis in venice demanding that they investigate what's going on in padua. The reason he writes to venice is, first of all, because the venetian jewish communities are not a single community per se. They sort of have their multiple synagogues and multiple ethnicities. And so therefore, when tragis hears that there's this young man who claims that he has these heavenly voices, then this sounds like it's no good; we don't want to rock the boat.
