i think of how hard it can be to break bonds when you feel that the friendship is leading you somewhere you don't want to go. I had a friend in college who was a very close friend, but he was wild, and we did a lot of wild things. As it turns out, he had a serious drug and alcohol problem. And i told myself, if i continue down his path, then i'm going to go somewhere that i don't wants to be. It took me a long time, but i had to back out.
