"I never really had any formal training. I didn't you know what I mean," he said. "It's like that musical theater sound that's just like oh you've never smoked a cigarette and you're like everything looked at." He was intimidated by the auditions, but eventually realized it wasn't serving him or making him feel bad. The line between pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and knowing when to protect yourself is a tricky line. 'You have access once you just take those checkpoints away'
