The Importance of Tradition in Science
I love this idea of getting your little balloon on a stick when you turn in your dissertation. And I think bringing the sense of fun, the sense of creativity is important in science because you are tackling some big and difficult questions. If we gave you everything you could possibly dream up and took away all of the barriers, is there one question that you would want to answer most? The big question I want to answer is what is dark matter? So I think that I would probably just put way more time and energy into my research around dark matter and hiring more people to work on these questions.
