Julian's Visions

Julian described herself as quote, a simple creature that could know no letter. She documented what she had seen either by writing it down or dictating it to an amanuensis. Her later writing reveals a complex understanding of various aspects of theology. It would have been difficult for her to attain without knowing how to read.
