How Biodiversity Hotspots Affect Endangered Species

Ecosia has planted over 1,000 tree species and 100 of them are either vulnerable endangered critically or critically endangered on the ISGN red list. So many of our projects are in biodiversity hotspots. We off the 35 we are working in 14 or 15 different plants at the moment. And as a consequence because we have a very strong focus on native tree species, we are also planting many of the species that belong in those ecosystems. But I actually think that the biodiversity impacts potentially is much, much stronger even because we are literally putting saplings in the grounds of trees that may be their last lifeline.
