Is Everything That We're Made Out of Only Three Particles?

Carter is 12 years old and he's already at the forefront of particle physics, asking questions we don't know the answers to. Carter: Why is it that everything that we're made out of is only made out of three particles? All the kinds of matter that you're familiar with are made out of atoms. This excludes dark matter, which is some other weird kind of stuff that's part of the universe but we don't understand it all.
