"I felt part of a tribe. I suddenly got what it must feel like to just be part of something really, really big that you have this emotional connection toike a family," she says. "It was the closest thing i ever felt to being part of a big, big family." The Labour Party has been in power since 1974 and is expected to win an election next year. It will also take control of the Scottish Parliament for the first time after more than 40 years.
