We're taught to become, be the best in things and do excel. This is not an argument against Tom Peters' pursuit of excellence. It's saying that the latter you want to extend should be your own latter. You don't want to be an extra in someone else's movie as good as you might be in that movie. And so this idea that you want to aim for something that only you can do, or that you're the best at doing, is definitely where you want to Aim your life.
