The Hospital Was Opened, but It Was Closed
Blomenthall kept the hospital open, and he paid for the first semester of operations. But then he withdrew support for the university. And in february of 19 31, he pulled the plug on his involvement with the association and the hospital. Ownership of the hospital was transferred back to blomenthal. Did that solve the problem temporarily? The depression continued to get worse. It would mean very little to me to have the hospital without his co operation and interest. I suggest the board accede to his request. He understands the work i do better than almost any one else.
