Do You Skip the Sweet Spot Work When You Race?

The whole point of training is to be able to give yourself a specific type and amount of stress, then your body adapts to that in aspe way. So if you're in your specialty phase, it's ok. Don't worry about it. I would advocate for not skipping the sweet spot work if you can. It plays really pay huge dividends in race performance. If you're going to toss one out, maybe toss one out that's going to be a bit more replicated by your race efforts then. Or maybe just drop down in volume. You're hitting all your workouts, then you're still able to do all your group rides or race and still be able to maintain.
