Is the Osmolar Gap the Best to Monitor?

The serum osmolality or the oz molar gap is more important to monitor and follow. An osmolar gapof greater than 55 gets you to a manatall concentration that causes a lot of renal vaso constriction. It's an association, not necessary a direct cause and effect every time. So it certainly should heighten your awareness, butit probably isn't going to happen every time.
