The Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn was looking at abolishing fee-paying schools. Do you have a simple argument to keep them? If your aim is to drive up educational standards and opportunity, I don't think you achieved that by destroying really successful academic institutions. For me, education is a positive sum game. The more good education you put into the system, the better it is for young people. Would you ever consider sending your kids to state school? Absolutely.
