I was like, maybe, maybe this is not for me because I knew I was going to have to write a dissertation. And so it was in the library studying for an exam reading middle March that it came to me. What I really love about these novels is learning more about the social and cultural context of these characters and their lives. You know what? Maybe I should go over to sociology where they study society and culture. That's so cool. So that was kind of the first, that was the first entree. Fast forward from there,. I do the PhD in sociology. I'm in New Orleans, have not given any other thoughts to, you know, classical or canonical literature
