If we find some kind of alien civilization at Proxima Centauri and they're only 4.26 light years away, we could probably play a very slow game of Overwatch with them. But once you're going to tens of light years, hundreds of light years,. thousands of light years it gets really hard to be able to detect their presence. Like the farthest stretches inside the Milky Way, you're looking at maybe say 30,000 light years away. What will we be like in tens of thousands of years from now? We don't know but I do love it.
