How Do You Choose the Best Ideas?
When you're working with a well trained group, you can come of about 35 ideas in about three to four minutesa that's really the truth. Here's how the ideas tend to shake out. In the first third, and everybody, i think, that's listening to this will have experienced this. The creativity comes in the stretch. And then from ideas maybe 25 to 30 on, that's where the more ingenious ideas come from. That's because we've exhausted the usual combinations of ideas that we've come upwith before.
