How Do Venture Capital Firms Evaluate Start Ups?
Willis: The first thing we look for is a really strong team, ideally somebody or group of people that had personal experience in the problem they're looking to solve. Do these folks have an understanding of the world that others don't, and are they able to execute on that idea? We'd like to look at companies bit more transformational than an incremental in their thinking. And then i think another sort of in summarizing these is defensibilityormote,. Does this idea, or does the company have the ability to create strong barriers around it?
