I was going out, maybe up to Manchester, somewhere in the Midlands or, I mean, England is not very big, you know. The rest of the band weren't sure what the cover should be. Said they thought it was maybe a bit too pretentious. But Freddie didn't have any problem with being called pretentious. He said, yeah,. Yeah, yeah. That's perfect. And so that's how that came about. So he... But camp was very hip at the time amongst a small circle in David which took in Roxy Music and even Brian Ferry. Not that they were butch guys, but they certainly weren't gay.
