Is There a Pandemic Coming, but We'll Be Fine?

I think that post COVID, the interesting thing about watching it is just, again, I'm not an expert at this and I don't want to just like rain takes down. Like what appears to me to be a profound difference in the American character. Americans broadly did kind of believe there's a pandemic coming, but we'll be fine. Or like these things will work. That's kind of how we felt during the Trump years too. We don't expect things to be better than this, you know, and horrific things happen.
