The Importance of Entrepreneurship in Venture Capital
I was joining this initiative that we were calling venture labs within flagship and that I was going to work on originating new companies. So you're right it was somewhat of a an ill-defined role and and quite entrepreneurial in the context of a what would have been seen as a venture capital firm back then. It's still the way we operate except on a grander scale where we have teams of teams doing this in parallel.
