Are You Getting Too Old to Learn a Language?
At age five we learn faster than adults, although the vocabulary of a five year old is much more limited. An adult can start learning a language and you can read a French novel within six months if you work at it hard. The biggest factor is your attitude, your enthusiasm, your commitment, your confidence that you can do it. If you feel like you're passionate about something, just because there aren't many examples of a representation doesn't mean that it's impossible.
