Peru and the Chilean Army in the Great Geopolitical Game
Chile declared war on Peru in 18 79. Peru lost thousands of troops and a lot of property during the war. The nation was economically destitute after all this, and continued to be for many years to come. In 19 o four, a treaty was established that made this temporary truce, permanent. Love that en onen war between you and another country leads to a war within your own borders, amongst your own people.
