Pituitary Apoplexy in Press Syndrome
Cerebral venous thrombosis can be a very difficult diagnosis to make in the emergency department. The third trimester of pregnancy and the postpartum period, a hypercoagable state predisposes to venous sinusThrombosis as does exogenous estrogen. So that's a little bit about what pituitary apoplexy is in press syndrome. And I think it's really important to stress that one pitfall that we talked about in part one was to be very careful of diagnosing a patient for the first time with a migraine headache.
