Community-Based Suicide Prevention

There are huge advances going on with regard to the general public's understanding that suicide can be prevented. We're seeing engagement with industries far outside of health care, you know, with entertainment and news media. And now workplace suicide prevention is a very growing and hot area of interest in the construction industry. But for our own colleagues and ourselves, I see that as fitting in the public health perspective more as actually community-based suicide prevention.
