She was expected to act as an icon for Korea's high society, but she would rather just read books. She preferred to stay in her chamber studying while he enjoyed spending his days and nights drinking and attending banquets and royal parties. By the time she had begun to wander outside her apartments at the palace when she was 20, she'd become an active part of politics despite being a little deaf. So I guess it's like she had been educated an ordinary amount earlier than some people might have thought.
