The Good Life Is Indexed to Truth
If the good life is instead indexed to truth, I think that's when sort of questions of attunement become central. The Apostle Paul says two things: rejoice in the Lord always and mourn with those who mourn. And there's a bit of a theological puzzle there about how do you rejoice always while also mourning? It's possible that maybe most of the most truthful, honest sort of moments in our lives are colored in just such ways.
